This document outlines the ezmanage WWW interface, and tries to provide sufficient online help.

Ezmanage Main Menu

Ezmanage main menu is divided into two sections: lists and moderator groups.

By clicking on a list name or a moderator group name from the list, you can go to list or moderator group configuration.

By typing in a name and clicking New list or New moderator group you can go create a new list or moderator group.

List Management

Configuring a List

The list configuration menu is divided into four distinct parts: at the top is a button to administer list subscribers, and below that, separated by horizontal lines

Click an individual sections Save-button to save changes in that section, or Save All at the bottom to save all changes.

Click Remove this list to remove the list.

Administering Subscribers of a List

The screen is divided into two: current user and the list of all subscribers.

Type an address to the User field and press Add or Remove to subscribe/unsubscribe that address to the list. If Confirm action with user is checked, the user will be sent a confirmation request for the action.

Type an address to the Change to field and press Change to change the current subscriber address in User to the one in Change to.

Type a full name (first and last name) of the address in User in Full name and press Use full name to save the users full name.

You can save time by choosing an address from the list at the bottom, instead of typing it in. You can search through the list with your browsers search function. The list may be refreshed by choosing Refresh. You do not have to wait for the list do load to start using the form.

Creating a New List

If you typed a name for the new list and chose New list at the main menu, list creation should just give you a success report and give you link to list configuration.

If something went wrong you will be shown an error message, and given a chance to retry. If you didn't enter a list name earlier, you will be prompted for it now.

Removing a List

If you chose Remove this list at the list configuration, you will be asked confirmation. Choose Remove to actually remove the list.

If you arrived to list removal some other way, or the list removal didn't succeed, you will be asked for the list name. After choosing a list to remove, you will get the confirmation dialog mentioned above.

Moderator Group Management

Configuring a Moderator Group

The screen is divided into two: adding new moderators and removing old moderators.

Type email addresses (addresses only, no names) one per line in the text area at the top, and choose Ok add those addresses to the moderator group.

Check the addresses you wish to remove from the list at the bottom, and choose Ok at the bottom of the screen to remove them from the moderator group.

Note: you cannot remove the prefix-listmaster@host address from the default moderator group - that ensures at least one moderator is always available (having a moderated mailing list with no moderators will silently discard all messages).

To remove a moderator group, remove all moderators in the group and choose Remove. Obviously, you cannot remove the moderator group default.

Creating a New Moderator Group

If you typed a name for the new moderator group and chose New moderator group at the main menu, group creation should just give you a success report and give you link to moderator group configuration.

If something went wrong you will be shown an error message, and given a chance to retry. If you didn't enter a group name earlier, you will be prompted for it now.

Removing a Moderator Group

Use moderator group configuration to remove all moderators in the group, and then choose Remove.

You cannot remove the moderator group default.
